Question:
What is so distinctive about ADO's Panels?
Answer:
ADO has a distinctive pleat option, the ½” Pencil Pleat Drapery Panel. Our unique design provides a casual, untailored look similar to flat panels that are hung from drapery hooks. Typical pencil pleats have a series of small tucks which are sewn together very closely. The ADO ½” Pencil Pleat design features 8” to 10” spacing so the extra fabric rolls out towards the front of the panel. It comes with a transparent buckrum which does not crease and allows for fullness between each pleat. The panel looks best when it is drawn or stacked back thus creating gentle folds that stay rounded. On the ADO ½” Pencil Pleat design, the pleats are almost concealed when the fabric is stacked back.
The ADO ½” Pencil Pleat design comes in three standard finished widths, 18” (7-9” stacked), 25” (10-11” stacked) or 37”(14-15” stacked). One of the features of pencil pleat is that the drapery pins are positioned on the back of the panels, which prevents from accidental pulls or runs in the fabric.
The ADO Bradford Display Panel features the new “1/2" Pencil Pleat” (shown in the photo on the right) or the “Bohemian Pleat” styles
